Martin ‘The Martin’ Alto (1944)

Ultimately Martin took their precision engineering out of the saxophone market and into the space race: but back in 1944, when this horn was made, they were vying with Conn, Buescher and King for leadership of the American professional market – a race they all lost to Selmer when it introduced the Mark VI.
